Ms. Abou-Jamra the CEO & Founder of the non–profit organization BioExec Institute, whose mission is to encourage relationship building at a personal level among industry leaders, with a focus on the U.S. and Europe in an increasingly global context, and to promote continued investment and growth of life sciences.
Ms. Hoda Abou-Jamra is also the CEO of Boston BioCapital (“BBC”), a Dubai-based advisory firm, who business it is to support venture, capital growth, and buy-out firms, and limited partners interested in the life sciences and healthcare fields in connection with each other across national and regional boundaries. It is a special focus of the firm to bring together U.S., European, and Middle Eastern players to establish continuing and mutually beneficial relationships. Ms. Abou-Jamra successfully created a strategic and joint venture partnership between BBC and TVM Capital in the establishment of its new operations in Dubai, TVM Capital MENA. BBC provided the coordination of all start-up activities, access to potential investors, investment opportunities, professionals and advisors in the Region as well as general marketing and relationship building. In February 2010, TVM Capital MENA announced the initial closing of its first regional investment fund.
Prior to her current advisory activities, Ms. Abou-Jamra held positions in sales, marketing, and business development in several biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies including Acumen Sciences, Incyte Genomics, Boiron Laboratories, and Bayer Corporation. In addition to her career pursuits in the pharmaceutical industry, she served on several finance and fundraising committees, including Senator John Kerry’s campaign finance committee from 1998 to the year 2004 elections. Ms. Abou-Jamra graduated from the Bouve College of Health Sciences, Northeastern University with a degree in Pharmacy.
